Day One~New Mexico Land Rover Road Trip

Hi there All! Most of you probably don't know this simply because the planning of this happened so fast, but Jonathan and I were asked by "Land Rover Lifestyles Magazine" to deliver a beefed up LR3 out West and to do something really cool photographically along the way. So we have been taking pics of the truck in as many funky spots as possible. It has truly made for some really creative shots.

Day One started with a little bit of a late start as we were wanting to leave at 6am, but got on I-40 about 8:30 instead. We definitely made up the time though in the fact that we drove like maniacs to get as many miles as possible between us and Raleigh, NC. We had the prospect of cool photo ops and fly fishing opportunities to drive us!! No pun intended! We drove through North Carolina, Tennessee, Illinois, and finally ended up right outside of Kansas City, Missouri where we stayed in the most bare boned hotel room that I had ever stayed in in my life! But it was cheap and it was a place to lay our heads after 16.5 hours of driving!!

Thanks for reading and stay tuned as the trip is abound to get interesting. :)

The Silver Beast!

This drive should be sponsered by 5 hour energy'nn

Horses and early morning coffee.

Sophia and stopped with our coffee and sweet tea this morning to feed
some horses, it was all giggles and smiles for my little girl.

And for me, it was a refreshing break from the normal morning.

f8 Photo Studios travel blog... start it off with a 2200 mile journey!

Hey there,
Cara and I travel so much we have decided to start collecting images from our travels and blog about it to show our watchers what we do, not only our spare time, but in our everyday accounts on some of our photography jobs.

This blog is meant to be informal and somewhat stimulating as we will be providing images the whole way through.

Recently we had the pleasure of getting a phone call from my old friend Gustaf Kupetz offering me a fun little proposition.

"I have a corporate LR3 Land Rover with everything you can imagine on it, how would you like to drive it from Raleigh to New Mexico?"
"I need it delivered for Land Rover Lifestyle Magazine" Well I said, I am a photographer and I do like Rovers, How many images should I cap it off at?

For those of you who know me, I have a fascination with the green oval known as Land Rovers and after having owned 4 of them in the last several years, I thought why not!

Our goal of this goes something like this: Go as fast as you can as legally as you can until we hit Colorado, camp and Flyfish for 2 days and spend our last day in a hotel after dropping the truck.

We will be posting images from random spots so please be patient.
Stay tuned, It will be fun.
